Nambucca Heads, NSW, Australia
If you haven't been to Nambucca Heads, NSW, then I highly recommend you put this on a Travel Bug to-do list!!
Located on the NSW Mid-North Coast, in the Nambucca Valley,
Nambucca Heads is a quiet, calm, seaside town where you really can relax, at a
slow pace.
With such a list of things to do, like beaches, cafe's,
scenic drive's, Valla.......I guarantee you will not get bored!!
The name Nambucca comes from the Aboriginal word, ngambugka,
which can be translated as "winding or crooked river", as well as
"entrance to the waters."
The town was founded in 1842 by Cedar Lumbermen, but by the
1870s dairy farmers were seizing the deforested river flats. In 1885, Nambucca
was proclaimed as a village & become
a shire in 1915.
There's quite a number of things to do in Nambucca, that I
guarantee will not let you down......so, here's a list of some:
1. The V-Wall
A fantastic walk, with a lot of painted walks, which show
various travellers experience with
Nambucca, with a fantastic walk along the water. If you're lucky, you may even
spot a dolphin or 2!!
2. Nambucca Heads RSL
Want to relax & have a meal or a coffee (or even a
sneaky cocktail!)? The RSL Club, is the perfect spot to chill out, meet some
amazing people & set sights on some amazing views!
3. Beaches
There are a number of beaches around Nambucca Heads,
including Shel
It's not worth stopping in Nambucca Heads, without a stop to
one of their amazing beaches :)
4. Foreshore Walks
This is an absolute MUST when visiting, the area. There are
boardwalks right around part of the area, that give of some spectacular
scenery.
I cannot talk about this area enough!! Make sure you add
Nambucca Heads to your travel list!!
