& we are in October.......

Image
Hmmm.......whilst it's the 2nd, how on earth did October come around so suddenly!?!? Anyways......last night I come across a show called 'The Osbournes Night of Terror'.......it is absolutely amazing!!  Hosted by Jack Osbourne, he takes Kelly (his sister) & his parents Ozzy & Sharon, along for a paranormal investigation, of a place called Heritage Square Museum, in Los Angeles, which homes 8 Victorian-era buildings.  The eight buildings were actually saved from demolition & work as the perfect backdrop to educate the public about the everyday lives of Southern Californians from the end of the 19th Century, into the early 20th Century. Watching Jack & Kelly go through the houses, was fun, because you just want to see what happens next!! Plus, the historical information that comes along with the house tours & investigation, is so historical & so informative!! This morning, after some tidying up, we went to the chemist, then went for a drive to look ...

Aaaaaand.......ACTION!!

So, yesterday my 6 year old son, Ethan & I went to Rocks Riverside Park. We did go early, I'll admit, cos let's be real.....I LOVE having my choice of car spots & am really not a fan of being in crowded area's.  This park is pretty fantastic & caters for, what feels like everything family & friends.  There's a large grassed area, BBQ's, play area's, shallow swimming areas, an in ground bouncy, trampoline thing, a community garden........or just head there to walk the dog, or exercise! Plus, it's right next to the Brisbane River.   If you've been here before, you'll understand how busy it can get.......which is why I love the feeling of being here early.....it just feels like ya have the Park to 'yourself' 😊 If you've never been, I do recommend visiting 😊 it's quite fun......who knows, you may even spot a firetruck, to keep the kids (or big kids!) entertained!!

Amway, Baby......

Image
So, I took the plunge & joined Amway. Is it possible to love something & be hesitant, at exactly the same time? Ok, so there are a number of different brands, that deal with Amway, including: NUTRIWAY XS ARTISTRY Amway Home Healthy Home G&H Glister SATINIQUE Sun Time The price to join, Amway, in Australia, is about $99......if you're choosing your own pack. Otherwise, there's a couple of other packs available, with the items already chosen for you, but these can cost slightly more.  I have to admit, the products that I have tried........are amazing!! I cannot praise them enough :)  Products I've tried: Now, I gotta be honest......these products, I LOVE!! They are natural & best of all they do what their supposed to do!!  BUT........(come on, ya had to know that was coming!), if I had to criticise anything, it would have to be the price. You are absolutely able to obtain similar items, at places like, the supermarket, for a cheaper price.  But i...

Here chick, chick, chick.......

So.....years ago, my dad had Isa brown chickens, for about 15 years & at any given moment, had anything up to about 16 chickens.  God forbid I ever let him know, that my workplace had gotten in, something called 'Henny Penny Hatching'.  Now, for those who are not aware, Henny Penny Hatching is a program that supplies Child Care Centre's, Libraries, Schools, Aged Care Homes etc, with eggs & an incubation setup, that allows children/adults the opportunity to watch eggs hatch & learn about the life cycle of a chicken. It's actually an incredibly up close & personal, educational experience & fantastic to experience.  See, at the end of the program, I would always have to bring, as many chicks as I could, home for my dad. It's like he couldn't get enough of them!! But the great thing is, the number of eggs, that we got in return, was incredible....it was endless!! Yet, I swore, I'd never have any chickens myself. When my father passed away, I...
